Pickens County Chamber of Commerce announced at the June Membership Picnic that Daisy Boutique is the June Small Business of the Month.  Julia Jorns with Julia Jorns, CPA, LLC and sponsor of the Small Business of the Month program awarded Owner, Peggy Rabin with a framed certificate. 

 

Julia Jorns stated “My most obvious comment about June’s Small Business of the Month is that you really get a lift whenever you shop there, that in itself is important as an extension of the character of the owner.” 

Daisy Boutique was opened in Jasper in 2003.  It was so popular that customers requested expansion so only a year later the shoes and accessories shop became a full ladies boutique showcasing the purchasing expertise of the manager.

 

The owner worked for 11 years as an independent representative for multiple women’s accessory manufacturers in the Rocky Mountain States. Then beginning in 1998 and continuing for 6 years, she leased a showroom at the Atlanta Apparel Mart selling women’s accessories to department stores and small boutiques. 

 

After moving to Jasper she decided to open her own boutique. In addition to being a positive influence on her customers, this business participates in a number of community events such as:

 

-         The Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary annual luncheon fashion show and numerous other fashion shows

-         Hosting the Profession Women of Pickens County after hours

-         Many auctions including Pickens Animal Rescue and Gilmer Cancer Society
