The Shop Pickens First program is a new initiative of the Entrepreneur Friendly Program launched in Pickens County in March of 2008. The Shop Pickens First program has the full support of local governments and the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce, but its success or failure lies entirely with the individual residents of the county. There will be an ongoing marketing campaign to enlighten all residents of Pickens County of the importance of doing their part to Shop Pickens First. By becoming a member of this program you are showing you are committed to helping strengthen the Pickens County economy and making this a better place in which to live and do business. You do not have to be a Chamber member to participate, all businesses in Pickens County are welcome to join.

The cost to join is $25 for Chamber Members and $50 for Non-Chamber members.

Your MEMBERSHIP in the Shop Pickens First program entitles you to:

• Receive a listing on the Shop Pickens First page of the Chamber website. (Chamber members will have a live link to their website. Non-members will have a listing only.)
• Decal for store front or automobile
• Mention in articles
• Listing in Chamber newsletter the month you join the program (You do not have to be a Chamber member for this benefit.)
• Tent cards to display in you place of business
• One-third page ad/coupon in Visitors Guide to be published annually and distributed to all visitor's centers around the State of Georgia and strategic locations throughout Pickens County.
