Tourism Committee

Purpose:  To create increased economic development opportunities for Pickens County through specific tourism related activities with clearly defined goals and timelines.

 

Business Council

Chair:  Don Martin                                        Co-Chair:  Julia Jorns

Purpose:  The promotion and development of increased use of businesses in Pickens County.

 

Public Relations Committee                                                              

Chair:  Dave Garner                                      Co-Chair:  Phyllis Pool

Purpose:  To build and maintain a positive public image.  Promote the Chamber to the community and build positive government relationships.

 

Leadership Pickens Program

Chair:  Regina Camp                                     Co-Chair: Phyllis Pool

Purpose:  To provide critical information and leadership skill building experience to make a positive impact on our community. 

 

Youth Leadership Program

Chair:  Angie Jones                                        Co-Chair:  Joanna Kearns

Purpose: To expose the youth of Pickens County to leadership experiences by creating an environment where they can make a positive impact on issues that affect teens.

 

Event Development Committee

Chair:  Dawn Popadics                                  Co-Chair:  Jack Short

Purpose:  To organize and oversee the Chambers fundraising activities necessary to assist in funding the Chambers initiatives.

 

 

Membership/Programs Committee

Chair:  Susan Wright                         Co-Chair:  Dave Jacobs

Purpose:  To suggest and establish systems to assist in increasing recruitment and retention of members.  To oversee new program development and to monitor and assess all existing programs including Ambassadors, PWPC, Drugs Don’t Work and the Programs Committee.

 

 

Building/Grounds Committee

Chair:  Dave Jacobs                                      Co-Chair:  Jimmy Swain

Purpose:  To enhance the physical appearance of the Chamber facilities.

 

Government Relations Committee

Chair:  Mike King                                         Co-Chair:  Ron Barnes

Purpose:  To build positive government relationships and educate businesses on Legislative updates and issues related to business.
